Apollo Business Center II is a compound of administrative and business spaces in Bratislava-Ružinov on Prievozská street. It creates a natural continuation of Apollo Business the biggest administrative compound in Bratislava.Sipral delivered an element facade of the H-shape sixteen-storey building, more than 6000 m2 in total. Individual elements were fabricated, glazed and equipped with opening windows and shading blinds at our workshop. During installation these were placed with a stationary crane as a whole without any need to use scaffolding and installation platforms.A typical element´s size was 2700 x 3720 mm. The facade is designed as double skin – the element itself is composed of interior thermally-insulating and exterior „cold“ frame. The modules are divided with a mullion in ther axis. In the window part these are equipped with two 2040mm high open-tilting flaps and in the spandrel part there is thermal insulation covered by a composite board. Above the windows in the space between the interior and exterior frame there are electrically controlled textile blinds. The exterior frame is devided with a mullion in the vertical axis and is glazed with two or three (in a quarter of cases) panes made of toughened glass, one of these is printed with motives of grass leaves. Side walls of the exterior frame are perforated to ventilate the space in between, openings are equipped with a stainless insect mesh. Double-glazing of elements provides smooth functioning of external shading and improves sound insulation of the facade envelope. Opening windows enable natural ventilation and maintenance of the space between the glass panes.
