One of Sipral’s basic characteristics is creativity.

In about 80% of projects there are new technical designs or technology procedures developed. A team of Sipral’s professionals designs new façade systems so that these could meet clients’ aesthetic demands and technical standards. New designed façade envelopes are submit to static, thermal and acoustic calculations. Finally their properties are checked with real testing.

Development of the facade system

Since the very first designs of new projects Sipral has provided architects and clients with consultations and technical help during development of facades. With regards to high level of our current technological possibilities there is a whole range of solutions offered. There can be used a standard design based on a catalogue of an aluminium construction system supplier or for technical and aesthetical reasons it is possible to develop and design a bright new, unique, custom-made façade system. With such approach Sipral enables clients to create unique buildings that fulfil their individual wishes and demands.

3D modeling

As demands of building construction complexity increase and construction times are minimized Sipral implemented a system of designing in 3D, 3D CAD SolidWorks of Dassault Systemes for fabrication preparation. This solution offers several advantages. The primary advantage is a possibility to make work processes of the whole construction effective, prevent possible collisions and check functionality of complex constructions and structural details. Inter-connection between 3D system and other CAx applications, for example for strength analysis or machining can also make delivery of work to the investor faster.

Thermal and technical analyses

At present time a strong accent is put on a low energy performance of buildings so thermal insulation of envelopes is one of the key parameters of all structures. Sipral checks thermal and technical parameters of constructions in every project, so that they meet all requirements in a particular project demanded. With new developed systems also thermal and technical calculations form an integral part of profile development.

Structural stability

Each project executed by our company is subject to functionality test of all construction elements for bearing capacity and stability. Assessments are carried out according to required standards. We use Feat 2000 or Scia Engineer for basic structural analyses. Complex analyses demanding for example 3D finite elements, non-linear behavior and the like are commonly done with Femap/Nastran. Geometric models created by AutoCAD form basis for computational models. For body models SolidWorks is used.

Testing

Sipral has much experience in the area of testing. Our light envelopes are usually tested in accredited testing laboratories in the Czech Republic as well as in the rest of Europe. In Sipral we also do internal tests with our own equipment. We have successfully tested facades for water or air leakage resistance and we have also done fire, acoustic, crash and material aging tests. Our constructions meet demands of safety class tests against break-in and special crash tests. We have also been long-term cooperating with the Czech Technical University on research projects aimed at glass properties and possibilities how to use it as a fully constructional material.

Acoustics

Construction in noisy urban operations requires a provision of acoustic comfort in the interior of buildings, which entails increased demands on the sound insulation of the perimeter envelope. When designing a suitable solution, we focus on meeting the requirements not only of airborne soundproofing (sound attenuation) of the perimeter envelope, but also sound insulation between rooms in the interior. In order to reduce the lateral transmission of noise in the place of an adjacent façade, we carefully design the details of the connection and the structure itself. We verify, analyse and test the acoustic properties of facade elements and details.

3D print

In course of each project we use 3D printers from Prusa Research. We print prototypes of developed facade systems, which improve the visual projection of clients and architects and confirm the functionality and compatibility of individual parts. Last but not least, we produce gadgets to simplify and accelerate fabrication as well as assembly of facade blocks and for their subsequent installation on site.
