The building in Art Nouveau style on the Republic square is like a piece of jewellery of Prague´s architecture. It underwent a demanding and complex reconstruction and now it shows itself in all its glory.
Sipral delivered an atypical steel construction of shafts for Schindler hydraulic lifts. It is a spatial steel welded construction made of rolled profiles and glazed with panes of bent laminated glass with a milk foil.
Lift shafts are built on the place of the original lifts that had been removed before, in the space of service staircases in lateral wings of the building. The current structure made of rolled profiles and glass respects technologies used during construction of the original Municipal House and fits in the overall architectonic concept.
