The national bank building has always been and will be a symbol of statehood and power. The same applies to this architectonic work placed in the old built-up area on the square in Ústí nad Labem. Sipral’s delivery consisted of all glazed peripheral constructions.
Facade structures of the principal hall and staircase space were made in Hueck KF 60 system. Azurlite and Forblue glass types were used here. Window structures with a view over square and into yard were created with Hueck 2.1 system. Combination of stone cladding on peripheral walls with blue aluminum profiles and blue glass creates an impression of magnificence but does not disturb the ambience of old housing even with modern elements. In this case the suitability of use of glass facades in historic town centers proved itself provided that there is a sensitive approach applied.
